Who is Mini TeamDC For?
Mini TeamDC is for young dancers with a love for performing and an eagerness to grow in their technique and artistry. These littles show up for their classes and rehearsals and bring so much joy to everything they do!
Whether your child is new to The Dance Collective or has taken classes as part of our Minis dance program, Mini TeamDC is a great next step for children who are ready for a more focused and performance-driven experience.
What Makes Mini TeamDC Special?
Our Mini TeamDC program emphasizes foundational techniques in ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop, with choreography and training tailored specifically for young dancers.
While dancers work on building essential skills and preparing for competitions, the Mini TeamDC program ensures that every class is engaging, playful, and age-appropriate.

Joining Mini TeamDC is an exciting opportunity for young dancers to take their passion to the next level. As a member of Mini TeamDC, dancers ages 5-7 will gain valuable performance experience while developing technique, teamwork, and confidence through competitive events, including:
- 3 Regional Competitions, where they will take the stage and showcase their hard work.
- 1 National Competition, providing the opportunity to perform on a premier stage alongside talented dancers from across the country.
- Our Annual Recital, a special moment to celebrate their growth and achievements with family, friends, and the community.
Being part of Mini TeamDC is more than just competition—it’s about learning dedication, building confidence, and experiencing the joy of performing in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Mini TeamDC dancers are required to take three core dance classes per week in addition to rehearsals for their group routines. Some dancers may also be selected for solos, duets, or trios, offering additional chances to shine.
Dancers interested in joining Mini TeamDC must audition during our annual summer intensive. A Mini Team Clinic will also be held in June for new dancers looking to prepare for auditions and learn more about the program.
